The National Judges Assistance Scheme is a scheme where by the New Zealand Cavy Council makes a part subsidy to the cost of an eligible judge's travel expenses. It is hoped the scheme will prove greater experience and knowledge to Judges, Probationary Judges, Trainee Judges, Exhibitors and New Zealand Cavy Council affiliated clubs throughout New Zealand. The National Judges Assistance Scheme is broken down into the four categories below:
Trainee Judges:
The New Zealand Cavy Council may contribute up to 50% of travel expenses for a Trainee judge to attend a show outside of their own home town. This is aimed at providing a broader training experience to Trainee judges.
Probationary Judges:
The New Zealand Cavy Council may contribute up to 50% of travel expenses for a Probationary judge to judge a show outside of their own home town. This is aimed at providing greater experience to Probationary judges.
All Breed Judges:
The New Zealand Cavy Council may contribute up to 50% of travel expenses for an out of area judge. This is aimed at providing greater experience to judges, exhibitors and New Zealand Cavy Council affiliated clubs and their membership. As part of the agreement Judges may be required to provide seminars to New Zealand Cavy Council members and training to Trainee Judges.
International Judges:
The New Zealand Cavy Council may contribute up to 50% of travel expenses for an international judge. This is aimed at providing greater experience to judges, exhibitors and New Zealand Cavy Council affiliated clubs and their membership. As part of the agreement judges may be required to provide seminars to New Zealand Cavy Council members and training to Trainee Judges.
The New Zealand Cavy Council will make available an allocated amount of funds per year for this scheme. Once this figure is reached the scheme is considered closed for the year. Any Club that misses out in one calendar year will be considered as a priority in the following year.
